Defender Security U 9495 Adjustable Door Strike Plate, Brass, 4-7/8 In. X 1-1/4 In.

A door strike plate is the metal component on a door frame that receives the latch bolt from your door lock, holding the door securely closed. The Defender Security U 9495 is an adjustable strike plate designed for commercial and residential doors, engineered to provide a snug, secure fit that eliminates common problems like door rattles, binding, and energy loss through gaps.

This steel strike plate with brass finish solves alignment issues between the door and frame. Its adjustable design accommodates variations in door and frame positioning, ensuring reliable latch engagement and a tight closure that reduces drafts and heating or cooling waste. Whether you're installing new doors, replacing worn hardware, or fine-tuning an existing door's performance, this strike plate offers a straightforward upgrade.
